IDEA Drama,Theatre in education curriculum overwiew

The role of Drama / Theatre in Education throughout the world may be varied but one thing is constant – a belief that children and young people have the right to receive education about, in and through drama as part of their formal and informal education.

Members of IDEA (for example International Officers in each country organisation) have contributed statements about the perceived status of Drama / Theatre in Education in their country. They have also provided current web links to their country’s official Drama / Theatre curriculum and assessment documents.

These statements and links serve to create and snapshot of the status of Drama / Theatre in Education in each country. It is proposed that the information will be updated annually by each appointed national representative.

We invite members of IDEA to contribute material to this library in order that teachers, curriculum developers, researchers, government officials may see and learn from the wealth of information that exists internationally for the growth of Drama / Theatre in Education.
