Building a Funding Strategy
The Finance Working Committee (FWC) lies at the very heart of IDEA's strategy to professionalise its administration, develop its projects and international collaborations, experiment with innovative drama-based pedagogies, and dynamise its advocacy. It will work closely with the Directors of Solidarity, Projects and Young IDEA, and with our fundraiser.

Aims of the FWC
1. fund the gradual expansion and professionalization of IDEA’s secretariat
2. identify funding agencies in IDEA projects’ regions
3. help mobilize resources of funding for IDEA projects
4. market IDEA publications
5. generate income for IDEA through sale of congress and project products (posters/postcards/t-shirts)
Specific criteria for FWC membership
1. members of IDEA who are experienced in national and international fundraising projects
2. or young IDEA members or solidarity-recipients from past IDEA World Congresses who can market IDEA publications among the youth/student and theatre-education community
3. or representatives from national corporations or NGOs who support IDEA’s objectives
The FWC is still looking for regional representatives to build up its global team of researchers into funding to enable IDEA to fulfill its full potential. This is an excellent committee to join if you are interested in understanding and shaping IDEA immediately, and in developing our capacity to act!
